Downtown Precise Plan rescinded*

*On October 9, 2024, the City Council took action to decertify the EIR and set aside its approval of the DPP, consistent with the Court’s ruling. The City Council agenda for this meeting, including minutes, is located here.

*Subsequently, on March 18, 2025, the City Council passed Resolution 14-25, which directed staff to consider potential revisions prior to any readoption of the DPP.

An organization named Orindans for Safe Emergency Evacuation (OSEE) has challenged the City’s Plan Orinda approvals and the Environmental Impact Report as prepared under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (see above). That action has been filed in the Contra Costa Superior Court as Case No. N23-0579. The City is defending against the lawsuit.
