On Tuesday, December 12th, the Planning Commission held an meeting to consider making a recommendation to the City Council regarding a General Plan Amendment, General Plan Map Amendment, Zoning Text Amendment, and Zoning Map Amendments to rezone portions of five sites outside the downtown identified as Housing Opportunity Sites in the 6th Cycle Housing Element:
Site C-2: Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church (433 Moraga Way)
Site C-3: St. Mark’s Church (451 Moraga Way)
Site C-4: St. John Orthodox Church (501 Moraga Way)
Site S-1: Miramonte High School (750 Moraga Way)
Site G-4: Caltrans Gateway (Caltrans right-of-way)
Click here to view a map of the proposed areas of rezoning. A portion of each site is proposed to be rezoned to RH-25 or RH-40. Existing uses on the sites will not be impacted by the proposed rezoning.
Staff Recommendation: Recommendation for Adoption of Planning Commission Resolution 23-04 for General Plan Amendment, General Plan Map Amendment, Zoning Text Amendment, and Zoning Map Amendments to rezone portions of five sites outside the downtown identified as Housing Opportunity Sites in the 6th Cycle Housing Element and adoption of an Addendum to the Plan Orinda Final EIR.
Action: The Planning Commission voted to continue the item to a date uncertain.
