On February 15, 2022, the City Council held a meeting to receive an update on the Housing Element sites inventory. Staff asked the Council for feedback on the staff-recommended sites inventory. The responses from the Housing Simulation tool (https://orinda.abalancingact.com/) will also be presented to the Council. The feedback received from this meeting will be used to prepare the draft Housing Element.
Staff Recommendation: Provide feedback on the staff-recommended Regional Housing Needs Allocation Sites Inventory for inclusion in the Draft Housing Element. In addition, consider a schedule that would include rezoning of all Housing Opportunity Sites concurrent with adoption of the Housing Element.
Action: Feedback was provided to move forward with the staff-recommended RHNA sites inventory with the addition of the CalTrans site that was not included in the staff-recommendation.
