On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the City Council held a meeting to review the draft Housing Element. The feedback received from this meeting and at the Planning Commission meeting on April 5th will be incorporated into the draft Housing Element.
After incorporating the feedback received, staff anticipates submitting the draft Housing Element to the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) in May. HCD will have 90 days to review the draft Housing Element and provide comments to the City.
Staff Recommendation: Receive the report, take public comment, and provide feedback on the draft Housing Element.
Action: No formal action or vote was taken. Feedback was provided to remove St. Stephen’s church from the opportunity sites list and to include an inclusionary ordinance action item in the draft Housing Element prior to submittal to HCD.
