August 2022 Revised Draft Housing Element

On July 26, 2022 City of Orinda staff and consultants met with the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) to receive informal questions/clarifications and preliminary finding from HCD regarding the draft 2023-2031 Housing Element. In response to the feedback received at the July 26 meeting with HCD, the City has revised the draft Housing Element. The revised document (including edits in “track changes”), dated August 2, can be viewed by clicking below.

The HCD 90-day review period ends on August 12. By responding to the preliminary feedback from HCD, the revisions in the August 2 draft are intended to reduce the number of comments in the formal HCD comment letter. Nonetheless, it is anticipated that additional revisions will be necessary after the close of the 90-day review period.
